How to get an Iranian visa?
With the increase of Iran’s popularity as a top tourist destination, especially for the young backpackers in the recent years, the process of getting visa is now possible through the arrival visa request at Airports. Now the easy process of Iran’s Visa on Arrival, save the travelers from all the long processes of embassy interviews or providing valid invitation letters from 2016. And with the change from Feb 2018, there will be no Iran Visa stamp on the passports and only a separate visa paper for the comfort of travelers who might want to travel to US in future.
Iran visa on arrival (Iran VOA) or Iran airport visa, refers to a class of short term touristic visa that can be applied for at some of the Iran’s gates of entry, like Tehran Imam Khomeini airport (IKA), Shiraz, Isfahan, Tabriz, Mashhad, and Kish international airport. Despite many travelers’ information, getting the visa on arrival in Iran especially in the airports is super easy and almost possible for everyone. The process of getting a 30-day Iran visa on arrival in Tehran has been going on for almost two years now. The process is very easy and clear, and also it’s possible to extend it even at immigration offices in all the big cities for another 14 to 30 days depend on the case.
Who can get an Iran Visa on Arrival?
Iran Visa on Arrival is issued to visitors with tourism purposes from around 180 countries including almost every European country. The countries include: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, China, Columbia, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Korea, Norway, Oman, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arabic Emirates, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Yugoslavia.
However, people from the following countries cannot obtain a VOA and must apply for a tourist visa in advance.

You can collect your VOA at one of the following international airports/ports in Iran.
Important Note: VOA is not issued at land borders. Therefore, you need to have a visa before arriving at a land border.

What documents are needed for a Visa on Arrival?
You need the following documents to receive an Iran Visa on Arrival:
Your passport with a minimum validity of six months after the end date of your trip to Iran. Your passport should also have two blank pages.
An English copy of your travel insurance policy which clearly states that it covers trips to Iran. So you are required to have travel insurance upon arrival at Iran’s airports. You can purchase the insurance via tatilatearam services or at the airport.
Payment slip of the visa stamp fee. You should pay the visa stamp fee in cash. The fee varies depending on your nationality.
The contact information of your Iranian host/your accommodation details or your visa authorization code.
Two passport-size photos.
Visa application form, filled out and signed.
